Back in the 70s, “Lag” Gagliano ran a little neighborhood cafe in homewood, Alabama. The idea was simple, “A place to meet friends, see friends, and be friends,” and get some good food along the way. 20 years later, lag retired (he still came in every morning to answer the phone) while a guy named Gerard kept the legacy alive.
20 years go by. Gerard hires two kids to help serve and cook—Eric & Justin. Gerard retires in 2009 having made a huge impact on his two employees.
Another 20 years go by. Eric and Justin have lived their lives inspired by the community—the family—that was lag’s. These two best buds and longtime Birmingham residents are set to honor the community that raised them: LAG’S IS BACK!
Eric and Justin both live in crestwood, ALabama. They are active in the community and hope to share the spirit of a place they loved with a community they love. Lag's will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and... LATE NIGHT! Finally!
We hope to see everyone soon at lag's Eatery!
